Our integrated report

Following the amendment of the NSSF Act (Cap. 230) and the issuance of the National Social Security Fund (Voluntary Contributions and Benefits) Regulations, 2024, the Fund now has a clear legal framework to expand coverage through voluntary savings. In November 2024, we launched Smartlife Flexi, a voluntary savings product that enhances social security coverage by giving members greater flexibility in both contributions and withdrawals. This marks a significant step in extending the benefits of social security to more Ugandans, across both formal and informal employment.
